MYP 1: U2: Poetry: The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes

Dear students

The Highwayman – A Journey Through Poetry

Our MYP 1 students have been exploring Alfred Noyes’ The Highwayman, a dramatic poem filled with adventure, love, suspense and sacrifice.

Through the poem, students have delved into imagery, rhythm, rhyme, characterisation and the power of storytelling. They have also reflected on how poets use language to create mood, tension and emotion.

A wonderful opportunity for our young learners to discover how poetry can bring a story vividly to life!

Here's the link for reference.

Happy learning!
